Vauxhall Grandlandx Dashboard Lights and Meanings
The Vauxhall/Opel Grandland X SUV was launched in 2017. The Vauxhall Grandland X is a family SUV that hopes to take you away from the alternatives with its reasonably large boot, a fair amount of standard safety kit, and general ease of use.
Here we cover the Vauxhall Grandland X dash warning lights. All important symbols are explained along with recommended Vauxhall/Opel actions to take. All models of the Grandland X are covered, in addition to the gasoline and diesel versions.
Green symbols are used to inform the driver that a system/utility has been turned on. Yellow symbols indicate a minor failure or that a utility has shut down when it is enabled by default.
The Vauxhall Grandlandx dash warning lights help you to understand failure in your vehicle. They can prevent a car from a breakdown or total failure, which can save you from an expensive repair bill. If these lights are working correctly, no warning light is illuminating; it means you stay safer on the road.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Seat Belt Reminder
The red seat belt warning light on Vauxhall Grandlandx illuminates along with an audible alarm notifying the driver, and front passenger must fasten their seat belts.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Airbag System i
The Vauxhall Grandlandx airbag warning light illuminates for approximately 4 seconds when the ignition is switched on. If this warning light remains on, does not illuminate, or illuminate while driving, then there is a fault with the airbag or seat belt pre-tensioners, which may fail to trigger at the time of an accident. If you intend to place a child seat in the front passenger seat, you may need to disable the front passenger airbag.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Anti-Lock Break System, ABS
The Antilock Brake System is a safety system that prevents the wheels from locking. If a wheel shows signs of blockage, the ABS begins to regulate the brake pressure. The vehicle continues steerable, even during hard braking. The Vauxhall Insignia ABS warning light illuminates in the dash for a few seconds when the ignition is on, and when it goes off, the anti-lock brake system is ready to go. If this warning stays on or comes on while driving, a fault has developed in the ABS. The brake system remains operational but without ABS regulation.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Dynamic stability control or DSC
The Vauxhall Grandlandx Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system improves driving stability. As soon as the vehicle begins to drift, engine power is reduced, and the wheels are individually braked. The system uses traction control to prevent wheel spin. The ESC uses ABS sensors to help detect vehicle instability, and when a fault occurs in the system, it is often related to ABS sensors.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Tire Pressure Monitoring System
TheVauxhall Grandlandx Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Warning Light glows steadily or flashes yellow. When it glows steadily, that means pressure loss has been detected in one or more tires. Stop immediately and check the tires/replace the wheel if necessary. If the light is flashing, that indicates there is a system failure or a tire has been installed without a sensor. After blinking for 60 to 90 seconds, the warning light illuminates steadily.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Steering System
The Vauxhall Grandlandx power steering warning light is the variable effort steering system. If this warning light illuminates, there is a fault in the steering. It may be temporary due to the continuous blocking direction from left to right. When the system has cooled down, the regular operation will resume. If the warning light comes on, contact a Vauxhall workshop. It is not dangerous, but you may notice that more physical effort is required when driving.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Engine Functions
The Vauxhall Grandlandx Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), otherwise known as the check engine light, will illuminate either the static or the flash. If the light is stable, it indicates a defect with the emission control system where the permitted limits of toxic emissions may be exceeded. On diesel engines, cleaning of particulate filters may not be possible. It can potentially result in damage if not fixed soon. Fuel consumption can be seen increasing. If the light flashes indicate a possible engine misfire resulting in catalytic converter damage. Switch off the accelerator until the light goes out. If the light remains in any condition, seek help from a qualified Vauxhall / Opel workshop as soon as possible.

Vauxhall Grandlandx Lane Keeping Assist
Lane Keeping Assist is designed to help keep the driver within lane lines if the system detects unintended lane departures. The system manages the same camera as the Forward Collision Alert System, and therefore the same faults and limitations apply. The system operates at vehicle speeds between 37 mph and 112 mph, and only when lane markings are visible to the camera. The symbol illuminates green when the system is operating and turns yellow and smoothly turns the steering when the vehicle approaches a lane line without a driver's indication. If the lane line deviates, the warning light blinks along with three chimes.
